Increasingly, scientific evidence indicates that uncontrolled high blood pressure is not only the leading cause of stroke but may also be linked to cognitive decline and dementia. Join the SOPHE Healthy Aging Community of Practice (CoP) to learn about new resources that health educators can use to help people understand how they can reduce risk for stroke, cognitive decline, and potentially dementia. Presenters from the National Institutes of Health and the Alzheimer's Association will provide research highlights, discuss the public health implications, and identify free, educational materials and messages.
