March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month - via COPrevent

March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month

Colorectal cancer, often called colon cancer, is the second-leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States, yet it is highly preventable, detectable, and treatable. Colon cancer can often be prevented through screening, which can find pre-cancerous polyps. Men and women 50 or older should get screened, and those with a family history of colon cancer should let their doctor know; they may have to begin screening at an earlier age.
